Short-Term Disability Insurance

Regular full-time employees will become eligible for the short-term disability (STD) insurance benefit the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Your health affects every part of your life - including your paycheck. The money you earn through your job pays for groceries, home, utilities and other bills. STD can be used if illness, injury, or pregnancy prevent you from working, short-term disability can help keep your finances on track while you're out of work. STD claims usually last from 12 weeks to 6 months. If you need to be out of work for longer than that, you're probably looking at a long-term disability claim. Please speak to the Business Manager about using this benefit.

Long-Term Disability Insurance

Regular full-time employees will become eligible for long-term disability (LTD) insurance benefit the first of the month following date of hire. LTD pays a portion of your paycheck while you're out of work. The length of long-term claims can vary, usually based on the severity of your medical condition. Please speak to the Business Manager about using this benefit.

Workers’ Compensation

Employees are covered for benefits under the Workers’ Compensation Law. Absences for which worker compensation benefits are provided are not charged against an employee’s PTO. To assure proper protection for employees and Madison House, any accident that occurs on the job must be reported to your manager and Business Manager, even if there are no injuries apparent at the time. Forms for this purpose are available from the Business Manager.

Life Insurance

Madison House automatically enrolls you for coverage. However, you will be required to complete a beneficiary designation form. Return your completed beneficiary designation form to the Business Manager.

You are eligible on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Employees are eligible for $50,000 in life insurance.
